1. In what New Mexico City do you live?
Albuquerque
2. How did you meet and how long have you been together?
Adam and I met in December three years ago when we were both invited to dinner by a mutual friend. We sat at opposite ends of the table from each other, but kept making eye contact. At the end of the night we finally talked to each other for the first time. We were so deeply engaged in our conversation it seemed as if no one else was in the room. How ironic that we may be able to celebrate yet another beginning at the beautiful place we met!
3. What do you both do for fun in New Mexico?
There are many things we enjoy doing in New Mexico; the most important to us is spending quality time with family, friends and other Christians sharing the love and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We enjoy watching the gorgeous sunsets in the Albuquerque sky, we love to camp and hike in the beautiful mountains of New Mexico. We also enjoy attending the art festivals, State Fair, various cultural events, and of course the Balloon Fiesta.
4. Tell us about your occupations:
Adam and I both truly take pleasure in our work and feel absolutely blessed to have the jobs we have. Adam has worked in telecommunications for five years and enjoys working for a locally owned small business that contributes to the growth and strength of New Mexico’s economy. I am a Sales Representative for a company based out of Japan providing New Mexico doctors with the latest information on hypertension that enables them to offer New Mexicans top quality health care. We appreciate that our jobs allow us both to honestly contribute to the overall welfare of New Mexico.
5. What was your most memorable moment together?
Getting engaged! We were in Idaho visiting my parents and we took a walk along the river together. There was snow all around us and it was beautiful! We talked about our relationship and how far we had come as a couple. We reminisced about everything God has done for us and realized that no matter what we thought God had it all planned out. We were standing near the water when he knelt down and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Tears filled up in both of our eyes when I told him YES, and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him as well.
6. What would you like voters to know about you?
We would like voters to know that we love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We praise Him for giving us this opportunity to glorify Him. We are so blessed and thankful for everything the Lord has done in our lives to bring us together.
7. What do you look forward to the most during your dream honeymoon in Maui?
RELAXING on the beach!!! And enjoying being married!
8. Why do you deserve to win the 2009 New Mexico Dream Wedding?
We were never expecting or planning on making the top five at all. It is hard to say exactly why we feel we “deserve” the wedding more than the other couples. We are still in a dream state that we made it this far and would be extremely honored to win! Adam and I would love to have a ceremony and reception at the place we first met, The Sandia Resort and Casino. We have dreamed of a wedding that can represent the love we have for our Lord, each other and want our friends and family to enjoy a wedding that symbolizes the beauty of New Mexico. We plan to approach our marriage with Jesus Christ as our center and his love, and grace as our foundation. Adam and I would consider it an amazing privilege to be the New Mexico Dream Wedding couple. Thank you so much for this opportunity, we are tremendously grateful!
