More About Us
1. What New Mexico city do you live in?
We were both born and raised here in the Land of Enchantment! We have red and green chile running through our veins! Joshua lives in Albuquerque. He grew up in the North Valley and graduated from Valley high School in 2003. He currently resides on the West side of Albuquerque. I currently live in Tome (where I grew), just south of Los Lunas and graduated from Los Lunas High School in 2001.
2. How did you meet and how long have you been together?
Joshua and I met at a very fun and exciting time of our lives! We met in college while attending the University of New Mexico. We have been “Joshicole” for three years!
3. What do you both do for fun in New Mexico?
We enjoy the diverse shopping, music, art, and food New Mexico has to offer. We like to take advantage of the beautiful music and culture; we put our dancing shoes on and have a ball doing our best at salsa dancing! Although, we do step on each other’s toes here and there! We also enjoy attending various sporting events and supporting the New Mexico Lobos! Joshua loves playing and watching all sports. Sports are his second love. Our beautiful New Mexico weather allows us to enjoy outdoor activities, nearly all year around! We love to go camping, fishing, and four wheeling through the wondrous mountains and streams of New Mexico!
4. Tell us about your occupations:
Joshua has worked for a local general contractor as a Project Engineer for two years. He takes pride in working on projects that help better the growth of our state such as SNL, INTEL, and UNMH. I work as a Radiologic Technologist for a health care company which was founded here in New Mexico in 1908 while treating people with tuberculosis. I take x-rays on patients from birth to old age and work hard to improve their healthcare and well-being. I do my best to make every patient’s care as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
5. What has been your most memorable moment together as a couple?
Our most memorable moment together as a couple was the night Joshua popped the question on a gorgeous, moon-lit beach, while on vacation in South Padre. With the waves crashing behind us and soft sand beneath our feet, Joshua got down on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! It was the most romantic proposal and more than I could ever have dreamed of! It will stay engraved in both of our hearts for the rest of our lives!
6. What would you like voters to know about you?
We would like voters to know that we are extremely grateful to have this opportunity as a top 5 finalist couple for the New Mexico Dream Wedding. We would like to thank all of the sponsors and all of you who vote for making this a possibility! We also wish the other four couples good luck and are happy to have made it this far and meet such great people!
7. What do you look forward to the most during your dream honeymoon in Italy?
A visit to Italy alone would be a dream come true, and to add the fact that it would be our honeymoon would make the trip absolutely wonderful! It would be amazing to celebrate our honeymoon in one of the most romantic places in the world. Not to mention, to see the wonderful museums and art by artists such as Donatello and Leonardo da Vinci. We would be awe struck to visit a place with such deep Roman Catholic roots and see the Pantheon, Vatican museum, and St. Peter’s Cathedral. We would absolutely love to go on gondola rides and see the painted palaces and churches in Venice. It would be almost magical to experience the beautiful vineyards, fields of sunflowers, and majestic castles in Florence, Italy!
8. Tell us why you deserve to win the $50,000 New Mexico Dream Wedding:
Joshua and I hope and pray that we will be the “New Mexico Dream Wedding couple!” We have dreamed of an amazing wedding that would portray the kind of love we share and include our families’ diverse traditions! We were both born and raised here in New Mexico and would like our wedding to capture the essence of this New Mexican diverse culture and fun traditions! We try to help out in our church and community as much as possible and are proud to call ourselves New Mexico Lobos! We are determined to put hard work and a lifetime of love and faith into our marriage and keep God at the center of our marriage to truly make it last forever. We are both very outgoing and love to have fun and make others happy! We would be proud to represent New Mexico as the Dream Wedding couple!
