The New Mexico Dream Wedding Giveaway Has Been Making Wedding Comes True in the Land of Enchantment Since 2008

Each year our family of sponsors join together to collectively change the lives of one deserving New Mexico couple. As the Executive Producer of this statewide event, I feel honored and privileged to work with some of our state's finest wedding retailers. We invite only one premier retailer per business category to become a sponsor of the New Mexico Dream Wedding Giveaway. This creates an exclusive list of wedding specialists who unite to create the most memorable, most beautiful, and most creative wedding ceremony and reception possible for the winning Dream Couple.

Benefiting UNM Children's Hospital

We are pleased to conduct various fundraising efforts throughout each year to benefit UNM Children's Hospital and the Children's Miracle Network. Some of the ways we donate to this important cause is through raffle ticket sales at our Dream Events as well as at local bridal shows.  Additionally, while campaigning to win the $50,000 New Mexico Dream Wedding, our finalist couples are asked to conduct their own creative fundraising to help them in winning the giveaway.  To date, the New Mexico Dream Wedding Giveaway has donated $35, 693.  We are proud to be making a difference in the lives of New Mexico's children and their families.

Contest Overview

REGISTER: Couples who register with us receive a routine e-newsletter which keeps up to date on contest happenings.

ENTER TO WIN:  From November 1st through January 15th, engaged New Mexico couples are invited to enter the giveaway by completing a short form online at www.NMDreamWedding.com.  There is a $50 entry fee per couple, which inlcudes two tickets to the Annual Dream Drawing Event, a champagne reception, dinner and dance.

DREAM DRAWING EVENT:  January 21, 2012, Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown. To be eligible to win the $50,000 New Mexico Dream Wedding Giveaway, all couples who have entered the contest must be present at this event.. The Dream Drawing Event, which is planned exclusively for our couples, entails the much anticipated "15 Semi-Finalists" drawing.

COMMUNITY CAMPAIGNING: Once the couples are narrowed down to Five Finalists the campaigning begins!  During the community campaign period, couples conduct several fundraisers designed to generate votes and raise donations for UNM Children's Hospital. If you're unfamiliar with New Mexico's only dedicated Children's Hospital and the extensive services it offers in our region, we invite you to visit UNM Children's Hospital to learn more.

PUBLIC VOTING: The much anticipated two-week voting period takes place each February, when all New Mexico residents are invited to log on to NMDreamWedding.com to cast their vote for their favorite couple. One vote per valid email address is accepted.

WINNING COUPLE: The winning couple is determined by the number of votes received, amount of charitable contributions raised, campaign etiquette, sponsor voting, and the overall attitude exhibited while campaigning as a  finalist of the New Mexico Dream Wedding Giveaway.

DREAM WEDDING DATE: The Dream Wedding is held on a Sunday in May or June, and is determined in advance by the NMDW staff.  The winning couple must be available to be married on this date.  (Complete contest rules are available during the entry period.)
